Wake up, the GRIEF AND MEDIA podcast is live!
listen to episodes 1 and 2 of GRIEF AND MEDIA anywhere you listen to podcasts
I’m so beyond excited to share that I’ve officially launched my podcast GRIEF AND MEDIA. Here’s its cutie little description:
This is GRIEF AND MEDIA, a podcast for laughing, crying, feeling seen in your grief and everything in between. Hosted by Alex Piscatelli, this podcast deep dives into pieces of media and pop culture that discuss grief, and how they impact ourselves and the world around us.
Episodes 1 and 2 are now available for you anywhere you listen to podcasts. Here are the episode titles and descriptions, along with links on where to find them.
Episode 1: Music as a form of time travel
In this episode, host Alex Piscatelli is joined by husband of GRIEF AND MEDIA PROJECT Jack Molmud. They introduce the podcast, discuss their experiences with grief and dive into a discussion about grieving through music—how it’s a helpful tool in both healing and as a way to time travel to memories with loved ones who have passed.

Episode 2: Ariana Grande's music through a lens of grief
In this episode, host Alex Piscatelli is joined by fellow Ariana Grande fan (Arianator, if you will) Mikey Levitt. They discuss Ariana Grande’s music and how it’s shaped through her experiences with grief—from the Manchester bombing to Mac Miller’s death, as well as her divorce. They also talk about the impact Ariana’s music has had on their experiences with both growing up and grief.
